devin paid $30 to be a member of the fox lake gym.when he takes the boxing class it costs him $2 per class. jared is not a member of the gym and it costs him$5 for the same class. how many classes would it take for devins total cost to equal jareds total cost?​

We have to find that how many classes would it take for Devin's total cost to equal Jared total cost.

Let x be the number of classes that it would take for Devin's total cost equal to Jared total costs.

Devin's total cost=2x+30

Jared total cost=5x

According to question


2x+30=5x


5x-2x=30


3x=30


x=(30)/(3)=10

Hence, Devin's total cost equal to Jared total cost if they would take 10 classes.
