Calculate the multiplier using the slope formula

m = (y₂ - y₁ ) / (x₂ - x₁ )

with (x₁, y₁ ) = (0, - 2) and (x₂, y₂ ) = (1,1) ← 2 ordered pairs from the table

(1+2)/(1-0) = 3, hence

y = 3x - 2 ← equation relating x and y
