Answer:

Speedd of the light in the medium is
2.459* 10^(8)m/s

Step-by-step explanation:

According to Snell's law we have

\mu _(1)sin(\theta _(i))=\mu _(2)sin(\theta _(r))

Since incidence medium is air thus we have

\mu _(1)=1

Applying values we get

1* sin(63^(o))=\mu _(2)sin(47^(o))\\\\\therefore \mu _(2)=(sin(63))/(sin(47))=1.22

Now we know that speed of light in any medium is given by

v=(c)/(\mu )

where
\mu is the refractive index of the medium and 'c' is the speed of light in vacuum

Thus upon applying values we get

v=(3* 10^(8))/(1.22 )\\\\\therefore v=2.459* 10^(8)m/s
