Answer:

x = 10

Explanation:

Times x/2 by 3 and you will get:

3x / 6 (1)

Times x+2 / 3 by 2 and you will get:

2x +4 /6 (2)

Now we got:

3x / 6 + (2x + 4) / 6 = 9

(5x + 4) / 6 = 9

5x+4 / 6 = 9*6 / 6

5x + 4 / 6 = 54/6

5x + 4 = 54

Sutract 4 from both sides, we got:

5x + 4 - 4 = 54 - 4

5x = 50

Divide both sides by 5, we gotL

5x/ 5 = 50 / 5

x = 10
