the right side should be 80

Explanation:


8x + 8 = 56

To check whether x=6 is a solution , plug in 6 for x


8(6) + 8 = 56


48+8= 56

56=56 both sides are equal

So x=6 is a solution

Suppose the solution x=6 increases to x=9, and the left side of the equation

stays the same.

Lets take left hand side


8x+8

Replace x with 9


8(9)+8


72+8=80

So the right side should be 80
