The name of two non-foliated rocks are as follows-

• Quartzite- It is a metamorphic rock which forms when a sedimentary rock called sandstone (in which significant amount of quartz present), undergoes extreme pressure and temperature condition. The parent rock of quartzite is sandstone.
• Marble- It is another metamorphic rock which forms when a sedimentary rock named limestone is subjected to the high temperature and pressure condition. Here, the parent rock of marble is limestone.
