Answer:

Multiply the slope by the run to calculate the rise between subsequent points. if you wanted to know the rise given a run of 3, multiply 10times 0.9 to calculate a rise of 9. Divide the rise by the slope to calculate the run.

The slope of a line with a run of 3 and a rise of 9 is equal to 3.

In Mathematics and Geometry, the slope of any straight line can be determined by using the following mathematical equation;

Slope (m) = (Change in y-axis, Δy)/(Change in x-axis, Δx)

Slope (m) = rise/run

Slope(m)=(y_2-y_1)/(x_2-x_1)

Based on the information provided, we can logically deduce that the rise and run are as follows;

Rise = 9

Run = 3

By substituting the given data into the formula for the slope of a line, we have the following:

Slope (m) = rise/run

Slope (m) = 9/3

Slope (m) = 3
