The following are the ways, in w which, the colonial-society differed from the modern-day society:

1. The colonial society was based on a pyramid type structure, where, the most powerful and wealthy class was on the top of this structure while the slaves were at the bottom of this structure. On the other hand, Modern-day society is liberal and independent due to the development of modern technologies. Which resulted in the decline in the power of the nation-state.

2. Colonial American society grew their crops such as wheat, barley and corn, and raised their own cattle. While modern-day societies are able to get cooked food from supermarkets.

3. The Colonial societies made education available only for boys, the modern-day societies made it available for both the genders.
