-3x+7=28

Move +7 to the other side. Sign changes from +7 to -7

-3x+7-7= 28-7

-3x= 21

Divide by -3

-3x/-3= 21/-3

x= -7

Answer: x=-7

For this case we have the following equation:

-3x + 7 = 28

We must find the value of the variable "x":

Subtracting 7 from both sides of the equation:

-3x = 28-7

Different signs are subtracted and the sign of the major is placed:

-3x = 21

Dividing between -3 on both sides of the equation:

x = \frac {21} {- 3}\\x = -7

Answer:

x = -7
