Answer:

A) The number is 49

B) The other possible answers are 9 , 14 , 19 , 24 , 29 , 34 , 39 , 44

Explanation:

* Lets explain how to solve the problem

- The numbers divisible by five must have unit digits of zero or five

# Ex: 5 , 10 , 45 , 90 numbers divisible by five

- If we need numbers divided by five and have reminder four we will

add 4 to the unit digits zero and five, then the unit digits of these

numbers will be four or nine

# Ex: 9 , 14 , 49 , 94 have remainder four when they divided by five

* Lets solve the problem

- The number is less than 50

∵ The numbers less than 50 and divisible by 5 are:

5 , 10 , 15 , 20 , 25 , 30 , 35 , 40 , 45

∵ The remainder is 4

- We will add all the numbers above by 4

∴ The numbers that divided by 5 and have a remainder 4 are:

9 , 14 , 19 , 24 , 29 , 34 , 39 , 44 , 49

A) The number is 49

B) The other numbers are 9 , 14 , 19 , 24 , 29 , 34 , 39 , 44
