After reading this passage, what can you conclude about what Jesse most likely did next? Jesse shook his head as he stepped out of the car on the side of the road. The hot desert sun beat down on his head as he lifted the spare tire out of the trunk. Jesse slammed the trunk down when he saw that the spare was flat. Then he took out his cell phone and discovered the battery was dead. With growing concern, Jesse wondered what to do next. He had not seen any other cars come by in the past hour. At least he had a full bottle of water and was less than a mile from town. He flagged down another motorist to get help. He walked to town to the nearest gas station. He put on the spare tire and drove off. He called a tow truck to tow his car.

Answer:

A. He walked to town to the nearest gas station.

Step-by-step explanation:

Since he had a full bottle of water and was less than a mile away from town, he could walk to town and not be dehydrated by doing so. He couldn't of flagged down another motorist because he had not seen any other cars in the past hour and he had a spare tire but it was flat probably becuase something in his trunk popped it. Also, he couldn't of called a tow truck if his phone's battery was dead so A. He walked to town to the nearest gas station is definitely the right answer.

Answer: He walked to town to the nearest gas station.

Explanation: I'm assuming the last 4 sentences are the answer choices, and considering the other choices wouldn't make sense since there were no other motorists, his spare tire was flat, and his cell phone battery was dead, the only option would be for him to go into town since he was close by. Hope that helps!
