New Jersey is 1/3 the size of Pennsylvania or

Pennsylvania is 3 times the size of New Jersey

Explanation:

T = Texas N = New Jersey P = Pennsylvania

T = 6N

P = 1/2T

so flip it

if

P = 1/2T

then

T=2P

2P = T = 6N

2P = 6N

then simpify by dividing both sides by 2

P = 3N

Ratio of the size of New Jersey to the size of

Pennsylvania

so flip it

if

P = 3N

then

1/3P = N

N = 1/3P

so

Ratio is

New Jersey is 1/3 the size of Pennsylvania
