The volume of the cone is 678.58 cubic units.

Calculating the volume of a cone.

The volume of a cone can be calculated by using its formula
V = (1)/(3)\pi r^2 h. Here, the diameter is 18 units, since radius is half the diameter. Then, the radius = 9 units. Also, the height is given as 8 unit.

Replacing the given parameters into the equation, we have:

Volume = (1)/(3)\pi * r^2 * h

Volume = (1)/(3) * \pi * 9^2 * 8

Volume = (1)/(3) * \pi * 81 * 8

Volume =1 * \pi * 27 * 8

Volume of the cone = 678.58 cubic units.

Therefore, we can conclude that the volume of the cone is 678.58 cubic units.
