During the Depression, up to 25% of the nation was unemployed. How did the Great Depression affect middle-upper class families?

Many of them moved to Europe to escape the Depression.
Some of them lost up to 40% of their incomes.
They were not affected by the Depression.
Many of them become wealthy during this period.

Millions of families lost their savings as numerous banks collapsed in the early 1930s. Unable to make mortgage or rent payments, many were deprived of their homes or were evicted from their apartments. Both working-class and middle-class families were drastically affected by the Depression.
