please help i dont know how to do this. I just went back to in person school and I told her it never taught me this. she argued with me and basically teach myself from pages of the math book. and I figured out some stuff but im confused with this part I'd love it if you'd help.​

Explanation:

The absolute value would just be the opposite of the original value.

An absolute value is the positive value of the number between the vertical lines.

If the number in between the vertical lines is negative, the absolute value become a positive.

If the value in between the lines is already positive, it stays positive.

17. |-8| = 8

18. |13| = 13

19. |3 6/7| = 3 6/7

20. |-1.34| = 1.34
