Answer:

B. All of these.

What are the adverse effects of climate change on animals?

Too many to count and many we still don’t understand.

  • The ranges in which certain species that produce shells may live are changing as a result of ocean acidification.
  • Wildfires are more frequent, which causes ecosystems to shift toward fire-tolerant plants, which in turn sustain a variety of creatures.
  • Early-year melting of mountain snow and glaciers disrupts the hydrology of the rivers and streams they feed. The creatures that depend on this water must alter their behavior to make up for it.
  • In certain areas, precipitation is becoming more irregular, with intense downpours and flooding followed by scorching heat that dries the soil. This is especially problematic for amphibians, insects, and other readily desiccating creatures.

Thank you,

Eddie
