The length of a rectangle is 5 cm less than 3 times its width. If the perimeter is 70 cm, find the dimensions.

Answer:

l = 25

w = 10

Explanation:

w = width

3w-5 = length

w+w+3w-5+3w-5 = 70

8w - 10 = 70

8w = 80

w = 10

l = 3(10)-5, or 25
