Answer:

B. 1.-1,-2

Explanation:

g(x) = x ^(3) + 2 {x}^(2) - x - 2

Substitute g(x)=0

0 = {x}^(3) + 2 {x}^(2) - x - 2

Move the expression to the left

0 - {x}^(3) - 2 {x}^(2) + x + 2 = 0

Factor out -x^2 from the expression

- {x}^(2) * (x + 2) + x + 2 = 0

Factor out (x+2) from the expression

(x + 2) * ({x}^(2) + 1) = 0

When the product of the factor equals 0, at least one factor is 0

x + 2 = 0

- {x}^(2)+ 1 > = 0

Solve for x

x = - 2 \\ x = - 1\\ x = 1
