1. eustress- Positive stress.

distress- Negative stress from situations that cause worry, sorrow, anger, or pain

2. - Encourage your friend to talk to an adult and get evaluated by a doctor

- Offer emotional support, understanding, patience, and encouragement.

- Talk with your friend-not necessarily about depression-and listen carefully

- Never discount the feelings your friend expresses, but point out realities and offer hope

- Never ignore comments about sui

- Report comments about sui (see step 5 about getting help).
