Since the triangle is right use the sine ratio to solve for x

sin35° =
(opposite)/(hypotenuse) =
(AB)/(AC) =
(x)/(20)

Multiply both sides by 20

20 × sin35° = x, hence

x ≈ 11.5 ( nearest tenth )

Answer: x=8.56365

Explanation:

You have the angle and hypotenuse and have to find the opposite so you use sin.

Sin#=o/h

Sin35=o/20

Then I just put that into my calculator and got x= 8.56365. (I added the decimals cause idk what you need to round to)
