Answer: A is correct (x+2)/(x-1)

Explanation:

Divide the top and bottom by 2, to simplify

[2(x^2+x-2)]/[2(x^2+2x+1)]

The 2's cancel each other out, since 2/2 would be 1.

Now factor (x^2+x-2)/(x^2+2x+1)

[(x+2)(x-1)]/[(x-1)(x-1)]

Now you can cancel out one of the (x-1) on top and bottom. All that's left is (x+2)/(x-1) which is your answer. Hope this helps!
