y = -2x+1

Explanation:

The slope is found by

m = (y2-y1)/(x2-x1)

= (-1-5)/(1--2)

= -6/(1+2)

= -6/3

= -2

Then we can use point slope form to make an equation

y-y1 = m(x-x1)

y-5 = -2(x--2)

y-5 = -2(x+2)

Distribute

y-5 = -2x -4

Add 5 to each side

y-5+5 = -2x-4+5

y = -2x+1

This is in point slope form
