y = ± sqrt(x+7)

Explanation:

y = x^2 -7 solve for 'x' .... add 7 to both sides

y+7 = x^2 sqrt both sides

+- sqrt(y+7) = x switch 'x' and 'y'

y = +- sqrt(x+7)
