Technology can make wonders when it comes to bypassing something undesired or tyrannic. Considering its own nature, how easy it is to spread information or to go around something that is meant to be prohibitive and so on. By spreading ideas, populations might actually awake and see their government as something very undesirable. They may see what a democracy is like and want it for them. They might see how the rest of the world sees their country, their rules, and want a change. They might also use it to organize rebellions, like the Egyptians did over Twitter.
