To conjugate a verb ending in -er, as in correr, what would you do first?

Drop the -rer from the infinitive, leaving the stem cor.
Add the verb endings -o, -as, -e, -emos, -áis, or -an to the stem.

Explanation: so first you would drop the -er leaving the stem which in this case is corr then you would then find who your conjugating to: Yo(I)-corro, Tu(you)-corras, El(he)/Ella(she)/Usted(you informal)-corra, nostros-corramos, Ellos(they masculine)/ Ellas(they feminine)/ Ustedes(you formal)-corran.

D. Drop the -er from the infinitive, leaving the stem corr

The ending of an -er infinitive verb is, well, er. Remove the ending to get the stem, then add the appropriate ending to the stem.
