Explanation:

When we solve for this we should always remember this formula
a^2+b^2=c^2 and since we already know a and c we can plug that in to find out what b could be but we won't actually solve it.


a^2+b^2=c^2\\3^2+b^2=4^2\\9+b^2=16\\b^2=7\\√(b^2)=√(7)\\b=√(7)

So b would equal whatever the square root of 7 is.
