1. Compare two contrasting styles of composition by describing how musical elements are used in each piece – how does an opera chorus, such as “Va Pensiero” differ from a song composed in folk style, like “If I had a Hammer”?

'Va Pensiero' is composed and performed with a great amount of slowness, tempo legato, with a low rate of beats, fewer words, in a 3/4 tempo, and in the Italian language, recalling Hebrew slaves.

"Fie Hada Hammer" is composed and performed with much less slowness, quite a bit of fastness actually, tempo alegro, with a moderately high rate of beats, in a 2/4 tempo, and in the English language, recalling the Black slaves.
