Alyssa looks forward to her family’s annual Labor Day celebration at her grandmother’s beach house. They always have great food and lots of fun. This year Alyssa’s neighbor has asked her to help with a party she is having the same day. She wants Alyssa to assist with the cooking and set-up in the morning and take care of the guests’ small children all afternoon and evening. She’ll pay Alyssa very well, and Alyssa could use the money! Alyssa doesn’t want to miss her family event, but she must make a choice.

One Solution for Alyssa is to go to her grandmother's beach house. The advantages of this would be Alyssa is making memories and she is keeping tradition alive. The disadvantages are, Alyssa wouldn't be putting her service (babysitting and helping) out there, She also would not get paid.

Another solution for Alyssa is to go to her neighbor's house. The Advantages in this is that she getting to know more potential babysitting clients. Another one is that she is getting paid. Disadvantages would be, not being with her family and having to work instead of celebrating.
