Explanation:

in order to find the radius of the circle you must add 12 and 8 together which ends up being 20. This would then be the diameter of the circle and since it is asking for the radius, and the diameter is twice the radius, you would divide 20 by 2 and that gives you 10.

Hm ok, now that someone else has answered as well lets do this!

This question is a little weird because the points X and Z are not in the middle of the circle, but that is ok because the radius can be found with any line from any point on the circumference.

The correct answer for this question is "
radius=11.3 " and here is why:

The formula that you have to use to find this answer is:


(H)/(2) +(W^(2) )/(8H)

So to find the radius the equation with the numbers looks like this:


R=(6)/(2) +(20^2)/(8*6) =11.3
