a) measure of Arc PR :

mLPDR = 36° (given)

Arc(PR) length= ( © angle ÷ 360) x (2πr)

A= 36°÷360°x 2πr

A= 1/10 2πr

note: as in question value of r( radius) or D (diameter) is not given.

so here length of Arc PR is 2πr/10

b) value of x:

measure of angle PDR= 2x + 2

therefore 36°=2x+2

36 - 2= 2x

34 = 2x

34/2 = x

x = 17

so value of x is 17

the arc of PR should still be 36 degrees, as for b 36-2=34 34÷2=17 x=17
