Minoan: The major geographical features include mountainous islands. This made farming nearly impossible and assisted in the development using the sea to meet needs of the people, especially through shipbuilding, fishing, and trade.
Mycenaean: The major geographical feature is a peninsula. This land feature allowed for some farming and encouraged the trade of goods with other civilizations including the Minoans and Italians. Many aspects of Minoan culture was adapted and copied by the Mycenaeans (It is believed that the Minoans were wiped out by the Mycenaeans).
