Answer:

B $5904.90

Explanation:

Hello

in a geometric sequence the values are multiplied by a factor, Let´s find it

year Value %

(A)year 1 10000

(B) year 2 9000

(C) year 3 8100

\\ (S_(n) )/(S_(n-1) ) \\\\(S_(2) )/(S_(1) )=(9000)/(10000)=0.9\\(S_(3) )/(S_(2) )=(8100)/(9000)=0.9

the factor is 0.9

making the table

year 1=10000

year2=10000*0.9=9000

year 3=9000*0.9=8100

year 4=8100*0.9=7290

year 5=7290*0.9=6561

year 6 =6561*0.9=5904.9

after 6 years the equipment will be worth $5904.9

I hope it helps
