y = (1/5)x - (22/5)

Explanation:

Parallel means they have the same slope.

x = 5y - 9

+9 +9

x + 9 = 5y

(1/5) (x + 9) = y

y = (1/5)x + (9/5)

m = (1/5)

y = mx + b

y = (1/5)x + b

-4 (5/5) = (1/5)(2) + b *(5/5) is equivalent to 1

-(20/5) = (2/5) + b

-(2/5) -(2/5)

-(22/5) = b
