On a map, the distance between two towns is 2.5 inches, and 1 inch represents 6 miles.

What is the actual distance between the towns?

x = 15

Explanation:

If 1 inch is equivilant to the length of 6 miles on the map that would mean the distance between both towns would be 15 miles as 2.5(6) = 15

Answer: 15 miles

Explanation:

1in=6 miles

so 2in=12

and .5in=3

so you add 12 and 3 and you get 15 miles
