2 \sin(x) - 1 \ = 0 \\ or \: 2 \sin( x) = 1 \\ or \: \sin(x) = 1 / 2 \\ or \: \sin(x) = \ \sin(30) \\ so \: x = 30

Answer:

x = 30 +360n

= 150 +360n where n is an integer

Explanation:

2SIN(X)-1=0

Add 1 to each side

2 sin x-1+1=0+1

2 sin x = 1

Divide by 2

2/2 sin x=1/2

sin x = 1/2

Take the inverse sin of each side

arcsin (sinx ) = arcsin (1/2)

x = 30 degrees or 150 degrees

We get two answers because there are two places where the y values is 1/2

This is on a circle so it is periodic. We need to add 360n to each answer where n is an integer. (We can go around the circle any number of times)

x = 30 +360n

= 150 +360n where n is an integer
