Easiest way is to use point slope form. So (y-901) = (99/60)(x-60). Original formula is y-y1 = m(x-x1).

Answer:
\bold{y=-(33)/(20)x+1000}

Explanation:

The slope-intercept form of a linear equation is y = mx + b where,

  • m is the slope
  • b is the y-intercept

The information provided in the graph is:

  • m=(y_2-y_1)/(x_2-x_1)=(-99)/(60)=-(33)/(20)
  • b = 1000 (the y-value when x = 0)

Input the m and b-values above into the slope-intercept equation to get:
y=-(33)/(20)x+1000
