\frac{500ml}{} (1l)/(1000 \: ml) (1.75x10 ^( - 2) m)/(1 l) (1l)/(1m) \: = 8.75ml

Answer : The correct option is, (b) 8.75 ml

Solution :

According to the dilution law,

M_1V_1=M_2V_2

where,

M_1 = molarity of stock solution = 1.00 M

V_1 = volume of stock solution = ?

M_2 = molarity of glucose solution =
1.75* 10^(-2)M

V_2 = volume of glucose solution = 500 ml

Now put all the given values in the above law, we get the volume of stock solution.

(1.00M)* V_1=(1.75* 10^(-2)M)* (500ml)

V_1=8.75ml

Therefore, the volume of 1.00 M stock solution required volume is, 8.75 ml
