Let

x------> the number of large fries sold

y-----> the number of small fries sold

we know that


x+y=81 ------> equation A


y=9\ small\ fries\ sold -----> equation B

Substitute equation B in equation A


x+9=81


x=81-9=72\ large\ fries\ sold

Find the ratio


(x)/(y)=(72)/(9)=8
