An angle measures 68° more than the measure of a complementary angle. What is the measure of each angle?

Answer:

11° and 79°

Explanation:

Complementary angles sum to 90°

let x be one angle then the other angle = x + 68 , hence

x + x + 68 = 90

2x + 68 = 90 ( subtract 68 from both sides )

2x = 22 ( divide both sides by 2 )

x = 11

The 2 angles are x = 11° and x + 68 = 11 + 68 = 79°

As a check : 11 + 79 = 90
