Lewis wants to play several games of paintball with his friends. At the park, it costs $16.97 for admission and paintballs, and $5.10 for each game he plays. Which of the following equations could be used to determine Lewis's total cost for several games of paintball?

(Let x represent the number of games Lewis plays and y represent his total cost.)

A. y = $5.10x
B. y = $5.10x + $16.97
C. y = $16.97x + $5.10
D. $16.97y = $5.10x

B, $5.10x (it doesnt give you the ammount of games he played so x represents it) + $16.97 (the cost he payed to get in)

Answer:

B

Explanation:

5.10 is the cost for each game and you multiply x because it does not say how many games he played

5.10x

Then add the admission cost of 16.97

$5.10x+$16.97
