The official territory of Israel (called Palestine by the Arabs) houses the three major monotheistic religions, the so-called "peoples of the Books": the Jewish religion (Judaism or Israelite), the Islamic religion (or Moslem, Muslin, "Faithful to Islam ") and the Christian religion.
