Answer:

x = 0 or x = -9

Explanation:

Given equation is :

x²+18x = 9x

adding -9x to both sides of above equation,we get

x²+18x-9x = 9x-9x

add like terms

x²+9x = 0

make factors

x(x+9) = 0

Applying Zero-Product Property to above equation , we get

x = 0 or x+9 = 0

x = 0 is one of solution of x²+18x = 9x.

now, x+9 = 0

adding -9 to both sides of above equation , we get

x+9-9 = 0-9

x+0 = -9

x = -9

Hence, the solution of x²-18x= 9x is {0,-9}.

Answer:

x = 0 x= -9

Explanation:

x^2 + 18x = 9x

Subtract 9x from each side

x^2 + 18x-9x = 9x-9x

x^2 +9x = 0

Factor x from the left hand side

x(x+9) =0

Using the zero product property

x=0 x+9 = 0

x =0 x+9-9 = 0-9

x = 0 x= -9
