Explanation:

A license plate is made up of 3 letters and 3 numerical digits (0 - 9).

i.e. out of the total 26 letters we have to choose 3 letters and out of the total 10 digits we have to choose 3 digits.

Also none of the letters or numbers can be repeated.

Hence the total possibility for the letters are: 26×25×24

and the total possibility for numbers are: 10×9×8

Hence, total possible license plates possible is given by:

26×25×24×10×9×8=11232000.
