Here's a hint that will give it away: draw them out carefully on a sheet of graph paper. The horizontal line is the x-axis, and the vertical line is the y-axis. Quadrant I, II, III, and IV are going counter-clockwise, with I in the top-right, II in the top-left, III in the bottom-left, and IV in the bottom right. The x and y axis intersect at (0, 0).

Ahhhh! Don't look if you haven't seen the hint! Ok, here goes:

On number two, Quadrant II is the quadrant where x is negative and y is positive, and Quadrant III is the quadrant where both coordinates are negative. So, we can see that only the y has changed, and this can be achieved by a reflection of the x axis.

On number 4, we do the same. Notice that only the x coordinate has changed, and this can be achieved by reflecting by the y axis.

On number 5, Quadrant I is when both coordinates are positive. Since Quadrant II is the quadrant where x is negative and y is positive, only the x has changed, and this is achieved by a reflection from the y axis.

For number 7, only the y coordinate has changed, and this is achieved by reflecting by the x axis.

Finally, in number 8, IV is when x is positive and y is negative. III is when both are negative, so only the x changes, which is made through a reflection of the y axis.

4. y axis

5. y axis

7. x axis

8. y axis
