Answer:

The answer is A

Explanation:

...Im not rlly that useful rn, sorry...!

I have a TI-84 graphing calculator that has a polynomial app solver on it, and i often use that since im not in algebra anymore. (i forgot how to do decomposition)--->

I do know you must use decomposition for this, or you can use the quadratic formula to substitute.

Answer:

Option A , x = 7/5 and x= -1

Explanation:

Formula: Let ax² + bx + c = 0 be the quadratic equation,

x = [-b±√(b²-4ac)]/2a

The given quadratic equation be

5x² -2x = 7

⇒ 5x² -2x - 7 = 0

a = 5, b = -2 and c = -7

Therefore x =[-b±√(b²-4ac)]/2a

x=[-(-2) ±

√((-2)²-4*5*(-7))]/2*5

x =[2 ± √144)]/10

x =[2 ± 12)]/10

x = (2+12)/10 and x = (2-12)/10

x = 14/10 = 7/5 and x= -12/10 = -1

Therefore,the correct answer is Option A , x = 7/5 and x= -1
