Who housed United States Naval bases in the early 1900s

The answer would be Puetro Rico and Cuba.

Puerto Rico is not considered a nation, but a "american territory/ independent state out of U.S. control but still receives U.S. protection."

Cuba is a central american country that was given support by the Americans for their independence from Spain.
