How did you do the Pythagorean theorem

The Pythagorean Theorem is a mathematical formula used to find a missing side length in a right triangle.

Its formula is
a^(2) + b^(2) = c^(2).

-To solve for the hypotenuse, the first step is to substitute in the values of the two other sides.

-From there, squaring both the
a and
b values is necessary.

-Next, the two squared values will be added together.

-And finally, the square root of that value will give us our
c value, or the length of the hypotenuse.

The Pythagorean theorem is used to help solve right triangles.

The formula is a^2 + b^2 = c^2

a and b are the straight sides of the triangle and it doesn't matter which one is chosen as a or b.

c is the hypotenuse of the triangle.


Replace the letters in the formula with what you have for dimensions and then solve for the missing dimension.
