There are many toys in a kindergarten. The ratio of the number of dolls to the number of balls to the number of cars is 7:8:5. If the total number of dolls, balls, and cars is 80, then how many of each type of toy are there?

Answer:

There are 28 dolls, 32 balls, 20 cars for 80 total toys

Explanation:

dolls : balls: cars: total

7 8 5 (7+8+5)

7 8 5 20

We have a total of 80

80/20 = 4

We need to multiply each number by 4

dolls : balls: cars: total

7*4 8*4 5*4 20*4

28 32 20 80

There are 28 dolls, 32 balls, 20 cars for 80 total toys
