The answer to 10^-2 is 1/100

Note that when there is a negative sign in the power, you will set the base and power over 1. Everything else is the same.

10^-2 = 1/100

Inside the question in the image, it says 10^-2 * x = 10^-4, in which you are solving for x.

Note that: 10^-2 = 1/100

10^-4 = 1/10000

Divide 1/10000 by 1/100

(1/10000)/(1/100) = 0.01

0.01 = 1/100

10^-2 would be your answer to the attached file

1/100 would be your answer to "[what] would [be] the answer be [to] 10^-2?"
