Answer:

1) b=14.34 units.

2) a=20.48 units

Explanation:

since, the triangle is a right angled triangle so we can use the trignometric identity in order to find the values of a and b.

let the base be denoted by 'B'.

height or perpendicular side of the triangle be denoted by 'P'.

and hypotenuse of the triangle be denoted by 'H'.

then using sine and cosine trignometric identity we have:

\sin x=(P)/(H)

and
\cos x=(B)/(H)

Here x=35°

and H=25 units , P=b and B=a

Hence
\sin 35=(b)/(25)

as
\sin 35=0.573576

hence, b=14.3394 units.

also
\cos35=(a)/(25)

and
\cos35=0.819152

Hence a=20.4788 units

In two decimal places we could represent it as:

a=20.48 units

and b=14.34 units.
